After a long time you learn that you don’t have to promote yourself. You only have to do what God calls you to do. You walk through the doors that easily open and you don’t worry about the rest. If the door isn’t opening walk away because you don’t need it.
Many of us say we aren’t self promoting but then we promote ourselves anyway. It is a conundrum that is not often easy to balance, but we must rebalance ourselves daily. Peace of heart demands it.
Greater rest comes from not worrying about tomorrow but living in the moment. Today I am fine, yesterday I was fine. Tomorrow I believe by faith that I will be fine. What God has done for me He will continue to do. He is the one who promotes and when He does life is good.
