Love when you know, you know!

In 1962, actor Charles Bronson met actress Jill Ireland. Although she was married, Bronson fell in love with her. She even told her husband, Scottish actor David McCallum: “I’m going to marry your wife.”
McCallum thought Bronson was joking, but he wasn’t. In 1968, he actually married Jill Ireland. Bronson and Ireland remained married until her death from cancer a few decades later. That’s the difference between today and the “old days”… you set your eyes on something and moved heaven and earth until you got it, no matter what the cost. And you also stood firm. No surrender.
In the 2020s, the biggest victory people can imagine is protesting the discontinuation of a chicken sandwich they particularly like and getting the restaurant chain to reinstate it. In the 1960s, love still unfolded as a novelistic drama. We are no longer the same.
