If I had one wish!

Mom…
There are days when the world feels quiet, and yet my heart feels louder than ever—calling your name in ways only love can understand. Losing you didn’t dim your light in my life… if anything, it made it shine deeper, softer, and with a tenderness I carry into every season.

I feel you most in moments like this—in the warm glow of a candle, in the hush of a winter evening, in the gentle beauty that seems to whisper, “I’m still here.” Sometimes I close my eyes and I can almost feel your hand on my shoulder the way you used to do when life felt too heavy. You were comfort before I even knew the word.

What I miss most isn’t just the love you gave me, but the way you gave it—quiet, steady, patient, never asking for anything in return. You taught me what real strength looks like: kindness, forgiveness, and a heart big enough to hold a family together. I didn’t realize until later how much of your strength lived inside your softness.

As I grow older, I understand you differently. I see your sacrifices more clearly. I feel your wisdom settle into my daily life—your phrases, your habits, your gentle reminders have become part of who I am. In so many ways, I am still being loved by you, just differently than before.

Mom, you may be in Heaven, but you live in every corner of my heart.
In every memory that warms me…
In every tear that honors you…
In every quiet prayer I whisper your name into.

Thank you for loving me in a way that time cannot erase.
Thank you for being the steady place my soul still returns to.
And thank you for staying with me—not beside me, but within me.

I miss you more than words, but I carry you with me in everything I do.
