Pain is a great master!

According to Aristotle we cannot learn without pain.
When I first came across these words I agreed, but today I feel like I should disagree. Just as kids learn best through play, including discovering new things by experimenting (not only when it’s a disaster & they get shouted at), by interacting with others (including jokes, secrets, fights & sadness) & just loving life (with joy & pain) us adults still learn through the same methods & experiences.
Yes, pain is a great master, but so is joy. And curiosity. And drive.

What do you think?
