Perspective really is everything.

I’m about to quote Katy Perry; please bear with me.
There’s a scene in her documentary when she is getting ready to go on stage. A person walks into her dressing room and serves her a divorce summons. She loses it. She just lays there and sobs uncontrollably. It’s the most heartbreaking thing to watch because you are literally watching a heart break. She then puts on her make-up, gets dressed and gives one helluva performance to the thousands of people who came to see her.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right and forget about those who don’t. And even though you might not see it, or believe it right now… know that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it.
We need to forcibly take hold of our lives. We need to seize everything it offers… including the tears, the anger and loss, but most of all, the good things! The laughter, the happiness and all the love. Just seize life. Because it is fleeting and it is fickle, and no one, not me or anyone I know, has another day, let alone another second promised to them.
Oh, and try to be a nice person. Life is complicated enough, so let’s all try to take the time we have and be kinder to each other.
Build someone up. Put their insecurities to sleep. Remind them they’re worthy. Tell them they’re magical. Be the light in a too-often dim world.
That’s really it.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Love Louder. Be kinder. Show up. Seize life. Yes, seize it – every flipping incredible second of it.
Wishing you only good things.
