Thoughts about Kindness…
I always encounter people who are
friendly, generous, and considerate. Qualities that impress me more than anything else. These traits prompted me to explore kindness …
How do we show kindness…
Here are a few examples:
Giving compliments.
Giving gifts.
Saying kind words.
Showing gratitude.
Doing an act of service for someone else.
Being respectful.
Noticing good things that others do.
Giving your time to someone else.
And what is the golden rule of kindness?
Most people grew up with the old adage: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Best known as the “golden rule”, it simply means you should treat others as you’d like to be treated.
And these quotes to live by…
“Kindness is a silent smile, a friendly word, a nod of encouragment. Kindness is the single most powerful thing we can
teach children.”
“Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world.”
“Kindness is seeing the best in others when they cannot see it in themselves.”
“Kindness is something anyone can give without losing anything themselves.”
And these thoughts…
If kindness is to exist, someone has to be the first to offer it. Today, you can be that someone.
If you cannot give kindness, nothing else you have matters. And no matter what else you do or do not have, you always can offer kindness.
Kindness connects, kindness heals, kindness encourages and energizes. Upon all those in its vicinity, kindness confers the joy of being alive.
Kindness affects lives in more ways than you could ever know about. Kindness creates benefits you would never want to be without.
Kindness may not always be your first impulse. Yet it often contributes mightily to your most powerful response.
We are better off together than we are apart. At the heart of how that happens is kindness, pure and sincere.
