Thoughts about simplicity….
A friend of mine from Brazil never fails to send me his “good” day greetings to cheer me up, a simple hello and how is your family. This means a lot and it goes both ways…. Then he made mention about simplicity:
“…simplicity is the basis of life my friend;
the greatest value of life is in the simple things…”
My mind swirled in motion and giving me an idea to explore…
Opening with the quote…
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
Clare Boothe Luce
And these thoughts were born..,
The simple things are the most powerful. Anyone can devise a complicated solution to a problem. The true genius is able to find a simple, elegant solution.
To gain an aptitude for simplicity, we must experience life directly. We must look not for complex hidden meanings, but rather for what is really there. We must accept on faith what our senses and sensibilities tell us. We must shut out the noise of anger, envy, regret, worry and deception, to experience the quiet power of simplicity.
Simplicity lives in beauty, and in honesty. Simplicity can encompass the whole world, without being consumed by it. Accept what is, for what it is, and you attain the power of simplicity.
