
Stop whatever you’re doing right now and think about 3 things that you are grateful for.
Just 3 things.
Because being thankful for what we have is a sure way to get our life back on track. Good grief, it’s been the most bizarre couple of years, but by taking stock of things that we can be grateful for, we might just realise how incredibly lucky we are.
I did it this morning, and it reminded me that through all this trauma, there have been little glimmers of light… moments of magnificence that have carried me through, and I am so thankful for so many things. I started off with 3, and before I knew it, I was counting up a storm. Yeah, I’m one lucky guy.
So here’s my advice: Try and think of 3 things that you are thankful for, and then take those thoughts and hold on to them today and when you feel like the world is off balance or you’re being pushed to the edge… remember those things, hold on to those things.
Though they only take a second to think about, being grateful leaves a warm feeling behind that can last for hours.
